Let It Be Done: Another Miracle Today

At least it seems like a miracle. Maybe more like a message…

Now I don’t expect anyone to devote themselves to my words. At all. Because there is a great big world out there, and just too much going on all the time for anyone to actually have a second to spare, BUT.

I found something today. Or it found me.

Much like that 10K gold signet ring that I found when I was a kid. I still don’t know why I found it, but it stuck with me- much as the story of how it was stolen has grieved me ever since. More on that later, maybe. One day. When I figure out what that story means.

But TODAY. This morning. I was on my way to the market. I’m house/dog sitting for my daughter and it’s a beautiful day. I was traipsing my way up to the market, right alongside a fairly busy street, when this thing caught my eye. I didn’t want to stop to check it out as I was walking to the market, partly because I didn’t want to look like a ding dong, scrambling for goodies on the ground. I figured I would look for it on the way back, because instead of being surprised by something interesting on the ground, I actually had a plan to check out something interesting on the ground. I was prepared.

Trust me, there’s a miracle/message coming.

So on the way back, I didn’t find it immediately. I thought the odds of someone seeing it and picking it up were quite small, but maybe it had happened. I checked the path twice where I thought I had seen it, but no luck. So I decided to finish the walk, continuing to look for the thing, whatever it was.

Ok, so what’s the thing?

Why was I looking for a thing? Well, it wasn’t just any thing. It initially appeared to be from a car. My guess was that there was a fender bender and it was a remnant of that impact. It was red, chrome and blue and had the letter “f” on it. As I finished the walk back to the house, I spotted it a little closer to my destination. I bent over near the side of the road and picked it up. It was this:

So I picked this thing up, surprised that it didn’t have any road rash- no scuffs or abrasions. It was in perfect condition. When I got to the house, I reverse image searched it and it is the side badge emblem for the Fiat Pininfarina 124 Spider, Lancia Scorpion 1975-On. Fiat stands for “Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino” which means Factory Italy Automotive Turin or a paraphrase of that translation:  Italian Automobiles Factory, Turin.

So Whoopidy Doo. Big Miracle. Hold Up.

As I was scrolling the information that the Googs provided, I spotted “What is a fiat in the Bible?” followed by this answer: “FIAT” is a Latin word for “Let it be done.”

Now, I just posted yesterday about me needing that big miracle (that one day I will perhaps disclose the details of). And today I received the “Let it be done”. And I believe it. Even in the face of growing opposition, I believe.

Faith is like a walk.

There are signs along the way- maybe that you are on the right path. Maybe that your ask has entered into the courts of heaven and has been heard. Maybe that all of your years of waiting have come to an end and the mechanism is now set in motion in your favor. And you just have to keep walking and keep believing.

I do love to find deeper meanings in everyday things, and I gotta tell you honestly, it rarely happens. Too often, ordinary things are just ordinary things. That’s what makes this miracle/message matter. And I feel seen and wrapped in the loving arms of God today, all because of the message in an unfortunate (hopefully minor) collision that dropped that miracle/message at my feet.

I hope your day brings you the same kind of beauty and blessing.

Tell me about your miracles! Apparently that’s the topic of this blog’s focus for now. ❤
